Some of the pain we experience in the nanny community in my assessment is sometimes self-inflicted. Though I understand that desperation drives individuals to accept any work situation, we must ask ourselves a serious question-where do we draw the line sometimes?
When are some of you going to refuse certain jobs because the terms of the jobs are not realistic? When are some of you going to ensure that you are compensated fairly? When are some of you going to respectfully leave jobs when your basic human dignities are under attack? Then I also need to ask, when are some of you going to reject the false sense of entitlement- that idea that you want more and more without the willingness to give more on your part. We need to ask these questions and each and everyone of us must do some soul searching and then act accordingly.#nannylife
