As we moved back to the Netherlands, we unfortunately had to say goodbye to Julia, who has been our amazing full time nanny since our son Justus was 5 months old. I don’t even know where to begin to tell you how great Julia is with children and as a nanny. Julia has become a dear member of our family. It is sad that we had to see her go. First of all, Julia is caring, warm and kind and brings a huge amount of fun and happiness to your home. She has a lot of experience and even worked for another family for over 13 years. When she started in our family, our son had very bad reflux disease; with her experience and knowledge, she was really able to help us and I could leave him with her with no worry at all.
Julia has worked in the West Village, Chelsea, Upper West Side and in Cobble Hill Brooklyn and she’s very familiar with all of the activities available for children in those neighborhoods. She is extremely dedicated and has a really rare and wonderful work ethic. She’s been great with setting up play dates (our son made so many close friends in our neighborhood), preparing and cooking (healthy) food (including for the weekend), finding and going to all the classes/ library, going to the doctor, doing groceries and light household tasks (the house is always super clean).
She loves to get down on the floor, sing and play with our son. She has so much patience and really loves what she does. It shows when you watch her at work or when my son runs to her first thing in the morning. She is flexible and she has so much knowledge.
